Philipp Djang is the current Sanction Chair, Top Ten recorder and webmaster for NMMS. He is an accomplished swimmer, triathlete (wanna-be) and plays a decent game of racquetball.   He has been ranked in USMS top ten and was European and German Masters Swimming Champion.  

Philipp set a new World and U.S. record for the 100 meter (short course)   Backstroke for the 45-49 age group at the 1999 Holiday Invitational in Long Beach, CA at the Belmont Plaza Pool. His time was 1:03.39. He just missed the 50 meter backstroke record by 0.1 second.

Philipp attend the 2000 FINA Masters World Games in Munchen, Germany. He placed 2nd in 100 mtr backstroke, 3rd in the 200 mtr backstroke and 5th in the 50.
