Report on the Huntsman Senior Games Marian's Story: Jordan and I just returned from a week at St. George, Utah where we attended the Huntsman Senior Games. Opening ceremonies were spectacular with sky divers, brass bands, dancers and a grand finale of firewworks. We have a happy reunion every year with our old friends who attend. Many are in their 80's now and are inspiring to keep physically fit. We were treated to some excellent dinners. In swimming, I won 4 firsts medals: 200m IM (5:29.53), 400m IM (11:06.59), 200m Fly (6:06.98), and 100m IM (2:34.51) in the 70-74 age group. Perhaps one the best benefits was the free flu shots given and other health tests! One of the purposes of the games is to keep us healthy! Jordan's Report: The games consist of 10-12 sports: track and field, baseball, tennis and swimming for athletes 50 and above. You can get more information by calling (1-800-562-1268). We have attended this 3 day short course meter meet for the past 12 years. This year there were over 100 swimmers ( ages from 50 to 92). Six world records were set in the 75-79 age group plus national records in the other age groups. I swam the 50, 100, 200, 400, 800 and 1500 freestyle races and I took second in all of them! This is a fun meet with lots of good competition in all age groups. Each year at St. George, they have national and world class athletes talk about their sports. Some of the athletes who attended are:

Jordan and Marian Wolle are accomplished Masters Swimmers who live in Las Cruces, New Mexico. They won state, regional, national and international championship titles in their swimming careers. They are currently members of the San Diego Masters, but we claim them as the New Mexicans that they are. Jordan and Marian have been life long supporters of all aspects of swimming and have been "parents" to many Las Cruces Swimmers.
