Pastor Loy graduated from the University of South Florida in 1981 with a Bachelor's degree in Religious Studies.  He completed a Master of Divinity from The Lutheran Theological Seminary at Gettysburg (1985) and a PhD in Rhetoric from New Mexico State University (2003).  He has served congregations in Denver, Colorado and has been pastor of Peace since 1993. 

He and his wife Martha have two daughters.  Among other hobbies he enjoys golf, running and Scrabble.
