EVENT RULES ---------- 2005-----MINERS' DAY
BARREL RACE--(3-5)-(6-8)-(9-10)
Clover Ieaf barrel pattern will be used. Timing will begin at flagman's
signalas contestant crosses starting line to run the pattern.
Contestant must ride the stick horse. Contestants may run to the right
or left barrel but must follow the official clover leaf barrel pattern.
A runner may be used for the contestant to follow in the aproved bar,
pattern If a contestant breaks the pattern a 10 second penalty will be
added to do time. Flagman will signal timers when contestant crossed
the hush line
WOODEN COW MILKING--(6-8)-(9-10)
Wooden cow with bottles of milk having rubber nipples will be in middle
of arena. Contestant must carry milk pail to cow, milk liquid into pail
and run to finish line.
Timed event. Must have enough liquid in pail that it can be
poured out on ground (2 or 3 drops or more). Flagman will signal to
begin and end timing or no time.
STICKHORSE POLE BENDING-(3-5)--(6-8)-(9-l0)
Pattern will be layed out and must be followed.
HAY BALE ROPING IS A FUN THING FOR EVERYBODY -AGES 3- 10 NO WINNERS OR
LOSERS-JUST HAVE FUN.
