Empyre Pipes and Drums was founded in July of 2002. The band is comprised of bagpipers and drummers from El Paso, Texas and Alamogordo in Otero County, New Mexico. Its founder, Mahrla Manning has lent her skills in organization and high interest of the Celtic culture to the Southwest. Wearing the Hamilton tartan, the band is composed of a myriad of different personalities and skill levels, all with a desire to make quality music and a drive to become a successful, competitive bagpipe band....
