Minor to Major Geomagnetic storming persisted for the
entire duration of QRPTTF due to unexpected
It was a rough QRPTTF this year due to a Geomagnetic Storm for the entire duration of the event, making band conditions very poor. Still, many gave it a good shot and QSOs were made. Thanks to all who participated, whether you operated from the field or home due to conditions.
From the soapbox comments, all had fun in QRPTTF, both on-the-air and off. Working stations across the country during a Major Geomagnetic Storm with only 5 watts or less is, indeed, a galant accomplishment to be proud of. From the results, if you worked only 2-3 stations, you're not alone, so feel free to submit your score or photos.
Comments received also indicate most enjoyed the river theme and found nice scenic, serene locations and river parks for an easy station setup and access. We may likely repeat the river theme again next year with the hope for far better band conditions.
