On September 14, 2001 the town of Las Cruces, NM came together at the New Mexico State University campus for memorial services for the people killed in the terrorist attack on the World trade center in New York City. This solem occasion ended with a rainbow created by the Las Cruces Fire Department. When the fire department started pumping water the sun was clouded over. A piece of a rainbow was seen in the water mist. This was nature adding in her rainbow in the distance. Then the sun came out and a giant rainbow spanned the entire campus. A magical conclusion to a very moving  memorial service.
