On Easter Sunday of 2001 a rainbow was created in Young Park in Las Cruces, N.M. to launch Alzheimer’s awareness week. The rainbow was dedicated to my mother, Mildred Stern, who has dementia. This was the first of my rainbows that Millie has seen. It was an honor to be able to finally share one with her in her 98^th year.
