San Francisco Pride Day Rainbows

Two Sisters under a Rainbow (Civic Center)

In celebration of San Francisco Pride Day two rainbows were created on June 28, 1998. A morning rainbow over the city viewable from Treasure Island and an afternoon rainbow at the Civic Center Celebrations.

The morning rainbow was created using the city's 25,000 gallon per minute fireboat and was only viewable from Treasure Island. In the afternoon a city firetruck was used to create an afternoon rainbow at the Civic Center. The pride committee and the San Francisco Fire Department made for a series of great rainbows at a very moving event.
