Ruth Abrams Drayer, American biographer of Nicholas & Helena Roerich

Over the years, as I have grown, so has my love of color. Several years ago, it reached the point where I only wanted to paint color -- not to draw or paint any object. I wanted to leave my left-brain behind and journey into the land of creativity. At that time, I found my first "painting philosopher," who explained to me that the eye naturally seeks shapes it can recognize. If I didn't want to paint objectively, I would need to resist that tendency. When I think I am lost, I am at the most exciting part of the process, because that is where something new can occur.

Drayer's fresh look at numerology springs from her wholistic, spiritual approach to life.  A world traveler, meditator, artist, yoga student, and mother to four and grandmother to six sweet souls, she studied with Dr. Juno Jordan (author of Numerology, The Romance in Your Name) and carries forward Jordan's Pythagorean line of thought and energy.  A popular lecturer, she has been a facilitator at conferences and centers across the United States. Her private practice of numerology and spiritual counseling includes clients from around the world with whom she works either in person or by telephone.  This background and experience make Ruth the perfect partner to assist you in planning and envisoning a more satisfying future.  She specializes in working with painters, writers, and "right-brain" adventuresome spiritual people.

How many of us take our gifts and talents for granted not knowing there is anything special about doing the things we naturally do?  Growing up, I never planned to be a writer-- it was just something that came to me easily.  It took writing Numerology: The Power In Numbers for me to recognize my gift.  And four editions later, it fulfilled its true potential -- and I felt I had said all that I wanted to say.
Once the first edition was published….I dedicated my life to doing what I could do to bring the work of Nicholas Roerich and his wife Helena to the attention of more Americans.  Nicholas & Helena Roerich, The Spiritual Journey of Two Great Artists and Peacemakers is the result.
Somewhere in there, I began to paint.   Creations like paintings and books (and children) all have lives of their own. Now years and years of my life have passed and my creations are finding homes where they will be loved, cherished and enjoyed.
