We will be at PetCo Saturday July 5 from 11:00 AM until 3:00 PM and July 19 from 11:00 AM until 3:00 PM with animals to adopt and to answer your questions and give directions to the Sanctuary.

Starting in June, we will be at Petsmart on the second Saturday of each month from 10:00 AM until 3:00 PM  with animals to adopt and to answer your questions and give directions to the Sanctuary.

If this nice weather we have had recently makes you want to clean out closets and turn over your gently used items, please keep Safe Haven in mind.  We accept donations of all types, i.e. clothing, pots, pans, ornaments, furniture, cans, used ink cartridges, books, household items of all sorts. The Thrift Store is the main source of funding for Safe Haven Animal Sanctuary and our pets would greatly appreciate your support at this time as we are running a little low on inventory. For more information, visit our Thrift Shop at 144 Wyatt Drive in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Tuesday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m  & Saturday 10:00am-1:00pm, or call the office at 527-4544. Click here for our donation flyer.

Safe Haven Animal Sanctuary (SHAS) is an organization designed to shelter abused and abandoned pets. We also have many dogs and cats who have lost their loving homes when their owners died, divorced or moved. We practice a no-kill policy, so needy pets can have a place to call home, either temporary or permanent. Those who are not adopted will live out their lives at Safe Haven in dignity along with love and respect. Since we are nonprofit, we depend on the generosity of people like you–the animal lover–to make a donation to keep these adorable pets healthy and happy.

Our current facility (Cronin Ranch) is located on three acres of land in Las Cruces, Doña Ana County, New Mexico. The ranch has kennels, a cattery, and play areas accommodating up to 21 dogs and 30 cats. Upgrades to this facility are ongoing. Call office for directions to Sanctuary.
