Originally this gal hung around outside the cattery at Safe Haven until she allowed herself to be included in the group of official cattery residents. Then one day she made her escape from the cattery only to later—no kidding—sneak back in. The staff and volunteers have no idea how this escape artist managed either trick. In January 2008, we estimated she was about six years old, still young by cat standards.  Gabriela prefers the company of other cats but also is willing to give humans a chance to get to know her.
