Diamonds and Crystals--
When I became known for my use of color, the next quilt that burbled out
was this one, white- on-white. The pattern is a combination of
"variable star" (each made of a different W-o-W fabric) and
"Puss-in-a-Corner" blocks. I was astonished when the secondary
chain-pattern showed up!
The "Sarah-strip" in this quilt is a band of cotton lace applied on top
of the strip. WONDERFUL! I had my friend Ann Dunham (a fellow retreater) hand-quilt this one. I
suppose it should be a wedding present to someone, but I've not been
able to part with it, yet. The Quilt Inspector in the picture is Serendipity, who was run over
before she got grown.
