Fiesta de Cinco de Mayo--
This quilt is another "kaleidoscope," also machine-pieced. I'm back to
color. This is a TERRIBLE picture. of the quilt-top (but not bad of
the fireplace, pothos, and pot of fun fake Mexican crepe-paper flowers I
picked up in Juarez, on a trip with Kara and Jim ). "Cinco de Mayo" is
the Mexican Independence day- of course, celebrated 40 miles north of
the border.
I see in this quilt the whirling skirts of the Mexican folk-dancers on the holiday.
Gregg snapped this one up before it was finished.
