Chariots of Fire--
Isn't this little guy about the most gorgeous, and adorable, baby you ever set eyes on? (and I don't usually rave about babies). He's the grandson of my favorite college roommate -- my soul-friend college roommate, Karen. This quilt is another one I just happened to be working on when I got word that he'd arrived. It's a Roman Stripe variation which began with a WILD madras plaid. I made the stripes out of every loud fabric I had in my stash, and it was searching for a name (and an owner) when the baby was born. Oh, my. Much as I love his mom and dad, they named this child ELIJAH (not to be shortened, thank-you-very-much). As you can see, this one is being used as I intend my quilts to be used -- and the kid is so darned cute, to heck with a good picture of the quilt!
