It's Elemental, my Dear ...--
This, folks, is a LITTLE quilt -- a wall-hanging, even, if truth be known. I'd had it rolling around in my head for a long time before it burbled to the top and decided it wanted to be created. The picture, again, doesn't do the colors in this quilt justice. There are four colorways -- the browns for "earth"; the grays/whites for "air"; the reds/oranges for "fire" and the blues/greens for "water." There are four sets of blocks -- log cabins for "earth"; stars for "air"; jaggedy string-piecing for "fire"; and what I'm calling "mill-wheels" for the "water." It is heavily quilted (shown in the second picture), and it decided to go to our own Snigdibbly, during her chemo.
