Trout Lake:

Our spring-fed, 1/2 acre lake is only stocked with rainbow trout. We try not to stock anything under 9 inches, and some trout caught have been up to 20 inches.  The average catch, which is approximately 11 inches, can weigh more than a pound. These trout are pampered by us until they are caught by you.  They promise to be good eating, especially when you use one of the recipes that we will give you..

This is the perfect spot to bring the kids fishing, they are guaranteed to go home with at least one catch.  They will absolutely love it.  How many times have you taken them fishing, only to have them run out of patience before the fish start biting?  Here that won't happen!  Our staff can demonstrate techniques that will have the fish striking instantly.  So even beginner fishermen and fisherwomen can have a lot of fun.

To reduce the risk of contamination, no outside equipment is allowed for fishing, and no food or alcoholic beverage is allowed in the fishing area.  We furnish the rods and bait.  Nets are provided because some of the fish are heavy enough (good eating) that they cannot support their entire weight with their mouth.  We also provide a bucket of water to store them in, while you continue to fish.  After you have finished fishing, we clean them so that they are ready to cook.

OK so all this sounds good so far; so you ask HOW MUCH IS THIS GOING TO COST ME!

Well let's see what it will cost you to go fishing somewhere else first.

Paddle Boat and Duck Pond:

This beautiful pond is the home to about 100 ducks year round, with many more migrating in for the winter months.  Condo's have been placed in the middle of the pond for the ducks to nest.  In late spring or early summer, you can watch them teaching their babies to fly.  This is very entertaining for children and adults, alike.  There is also a large collection of pond omni (these are very large goldfish) that congregate near the edges of the pond and under the boat ramp.  On the boat ramp, are feeders where you can get food for the ducks and fish.  If you are lucky, you might get to see one of the many channel catfish that stay near the bottom of the lake.

Occasionally you may see an off-looking duck (or lost pelican).

To enjoy the pond to its fullest, you may want to rent a paddle boat. ($5.00 for 30 min)

RV Park:

This area is beautifully shaded by large fruit trees.  Several of the sites back the duck pond making them very appealing to kids.  We also have sites in lower-traffic areas for people who would like it a little quieter.  There are public rest rooms and showers in the office that are open during office hours.

There is also plenty to do here in the park, in town, and in the immediate area.  Here in the park, we have a stocked  trout lake, a paddle boat and duck pond , and our own section of the Ruidoso River for more challenging fishing (requires NM state fishing license).  We are currently trying to clear the area around the river for easier access (Coming Attractions) .  We would like to install on it a nature trail and possibly tent sites.  This area will be restricted to park customers only!

Fall and Spring are simply beautiful in the park.

We have 50 spaces with full hookups. They include water, sewer, electricity, free cable TV, and phone service by GTE.  The phone service must be turned on by the user, by contacting the phone company here in Ruidoso.  We have 18 pull-through spaces.  We also have 17 back-in spaces against the duck pond.  There are other spots that have more room and privacy.

Our current prices are for two people with full hookup:

Daily $20.00 + tax
Weekly $125.00 + tax
Monthly $250.00 + electricity

Each Additional person is $2.00 per night extra.

Prices are subject to change depending on site availability.

For Reservations Call 505-378-4216

From Memorial Day to Labor Day, this area is extremely busy; and reservations are strongly recommended.

Come by and take a look; we are sure that you will find a space you love.

Coming Attractions:

We have a second trout pond that we are working on.  This pond will be for fishers that want to catch the big ones.
These fish will be 18 inches and over (up to 27 inches +).   This should be in place by next spring.

________________________________________________________________________________________________

We are working on clearing the river property on both sides.  We are going to put in a walking path, tables, possibly tent sites, and you will be able to fish in the river (this will require a state license).  In the river are native trout--brown, brook and rainbow.

THIS AREA WILL BE FOR PARK CUSTOMERS ONLY!
IT WILL NOT BE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC!

We are always interested in improving our park to meet the needs and interests of our customers.  If you have any ideas how we might facilitate this, please feel free to email us at  seepingsprings@zianet.com

If you have never visited Ruidoso, you are missing out; and you may want to start by visiting the Ruidoso Chamber of Commerce.  Ruidoso is a beautiful mountain community located in south-central New Mexico.  The local casinos (Inn of the Mountain Gods Casino and Ruidoso Downs Casino) are open year round.  The scenery here is always gorgeous.  The Hubbard Museum of the Horse is located right by the race track.  In the summer you can enjoy golfing, horse racing, hiking, fishing, hunting, art galleries, antiques and lots of shopping.  We also have some excellent skiing and snow boarding at Ski Apache in the winter.  In the fall of the year, there is a large cowboy symposium and a large motorcycle rally.  Throughout the summer, there are a variety of shows and festivals, including antiques and arts of all sorts.  Ruidoso is the home of the new Spencer Theater.

Many other attractions in New Mexico are just a day trip away. These include Carlsbad Caverns, White Sands, the Alamogordo Space Hall of Fame and Omnimax Theater, Roswell's UFO Museum and the UFO Crash Site, Historic Lincoln County (Home of Billy the Kid), Capitan (Home of Smokey the Bear), a winery and brewery you can tour, ghost and mining towns, and a whole lot more which are easily within driving distanc e.
