22 after abcence of three months wrighting in my journal i now take to wrighting
23 me and Elisha went after poasts came within a mile of home and one of our horses gave hout fetched 56

2 i fenced my sita lot today measured Joseph he was 3' 4 and 1/8
11 me and team worked on publick fence
12 i worked 7 day on publick fence single handed
25 i went to the canyon in the worst storm we nave had all winter snow fell 12 in. came home without anything

the last of May i finished burning a kill of brick for s c b

August 1888
wen 1 of august the mill horse got lost we did not find him till noon after noon molded some. the wind blowed till we had to quit and went to blasting wood for j. c. b.
thir 2 molded well brick till noon. they cracked so bad that i had to go to sanfort to get facktry to cover them and odum and nielson choped wood in the afternoon makeing a half day each
fri. 3 i molded wel brick and dean blasted wood

mo 6 i hunted for potters clay over on Conejos river
tus 7 i started to set brick in the kill to burn the well brick

Tus 27 i went to the west mountains after wood for j c b with elishas horse and jb mare came home
wen 28 and left the mountains with about .12 inches of snow

fri 30 went after wood in the east hills for hogerd on donation got .
mired in the mud and did not get home till sat 1 of December and me
and Elisha fetched a load of wood the same time for both of us
