Welcome to Trophy Striper Guide Service web site. I'm Ron Orr, owner/operator, chief guide and deck hand! I have fished Elephant Butte Lake for thirty years and have been a permanent resident here since 1986. I specialize in striper and white bass fishing but we occasionally catch other species as well. I fish in a 1997 Hydra Sport Ocean 22 powered by a 200 HP Evinrude Ocean Pro. I selected this rig primarily for its performance, safety and stability in our frequent lake winds and for the comfort of my clients. My boat is equipped with the latest in tackle and electronics as well as a radio telephone.

I prefer to fish with parties of no more than four fisherman but can easily accommodate five if necessary. For larger parties, I enlist the services of other area guides. For company groups, etc., I can set up activities such as golf at the local golf course in addition to the fishing. I strive to make your trip to Elephant Butte an enjoyable and memorable experience. Please book your trip well in advance of your selected dates to avoid any conflict. A deposit is required but is refundable if you give a ten day cancellation notice or if I must cancel due to weather conditions. With less than ten day notice, the deposit may be applied toward another fishing date.
