Amos Fenner's Will

In the name of the Benevolent Father of all. I, Amos Fenner, of the
county of Highland and State of Ohio, being of lawful age and sound mind
but weak in body do make and publish this my last will and testament.
First. I is my will that my funeral expenses and all my just debts
be paid.
Second. I give and devise to my beloved wife Matilda all my personal
estate after my just debts are paid to be disposed of as she may
think best, also all the profits arising from the rents of the farm
on which I now reside containing about ninety acres of land
until other wise disposed.
Third. It is my wish that the farm on which I now reside
be sold as soon as my executors think best and the proceeds
of the sale of my farm shall be disposed as follows.
1st. I give and devise to my brother William W. Fenner, the
sum of one hundred dollars to be paid as soon as practicable
after the same of my farm.
2nd. I give and devise to my sister Mary Ann Frost, the sum
of one hundred dollars to be paid as soon as practicable
after the sale of my farm.
3rd. I give and devise to my sister Rececca Dean, the sum
of one hundred dollars together with sixty nine dollars, the
Highland County, Ohio Probate Court Book 5, Pages 39the price of a horse I sold to Barton Dean, the hundred dollars to be paid as soon as practicable after the sale of my farm. 4th. I give and devise to my brother Jackson Fenner the sum of one hundred dollars to be paid as soon as practicable after the sale of my farm. 5th. I give and devise to my sister Maria Fenner, the sum of one hundred dollars to be paid as soon as practicable after the sale of my farm. 6th. I give and devise to my brother James Fenner the sum of one hundred dollars to be paid as soon as practicable after the sale of my farm. 7th. I give and devise to my brother Johnson Fenner the sum of one hundred dollars to be paid as soon as prac- ticable after the sale of my farm. 8th. I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Matilda all the balance of the money that may arise from the sale of my farm. Lastly, I do hereby nominate and appoint my wife Matilda Fenner and Barton Dean Executrix and Executor of this my last will and testament hereby authorizing and employing them to compromise, adjust, release and discharge in such manner as they may deem proper the debts and claims due me and I do furthur authorize them to convey fee simple, the premises I hereby authorize them to sell. This day the last will and testament of Amos Fenner was produced in open Court where- upon came personally James A. Peale and John Wagner subscribing witnesses thereto who being first fuly sworn say that the said Amos Fenner at the making of said will and testament was over the age of twenty one years of sound mind
