  • Procedural technique descriptions and standards with diagrams and pictures

  • Pharmacological interventions utilizing medications typically carried for use on humans

  • Equipment adaptations appropriate to canine care

  • Condition specific protocols cover medical and traumatic conditions as well as common conditions particular to the patient population (Pepper spray exposure, specific poisonings, etc.)

PDA Application Development presents ResQ Shop 1.8

The ResQ Training division of The ResQ Shop was tasked with developing a PDA application that would provide rapid access to drug dosages, equipment sizing and other critical care calculations.  We utilized AeroCare Critical Care Transport's protocols and system for beta testing.  The product was ResQShop 1.8

We are proud to offer a free trial version that will operate for 30 days.  You may also purchase the full version which will function indefinitely.  In addition to limitless function, the full version also offers an expanded Burn therapy section with additional fluid therapy calculators.  ResQ Shop 1.8 allows the user to select adult vs. pediatric, enter a weight, select a treatment section and it does the rest.  You select Resuscitation, it gives you all the proper medication dosages for all the medications appropriate to that patient per the AHA's ACLS/PALS or NRP guidelines.  Calculating pressor agent drips, neuro drips, burn fluid resuscitation rates, obstetrical EDC's, toxicology antidotes and RSI dosages are just some of the capabilities.  One of the truly special sections is the Gadgets section.  This function provides proper sizing of adjuncts like ETT's, OPA's, NPA's, OG/NGT's, suction caths, foleys, chest tubes and tidal volumes according to the patient's age and weight.  Does your system utilize the Univent 750 at all?  Have you had the complication of rapidly calculating I-times and tidal volumes to deliver the desired Vt while keeping an I:E of 1:2?  ResQ Shop 1.8 does it for you.  You enter the weight and rate you want to ventilate at.  It gives you I-time and Vt to be dialed in.  You can download the trial version below.  If you desire to purchase, please use our PayPal link to process your order and take your credit card.  Once you make the purchase, PayPal will direct you to the secured page with the full-version's download link.

CCT Neuro

The ResQ Shop has also developed a quick neuro care reference application.  This application allows you to select a class of neuro injury.  The application then prompts you with reminders on how to identify the injury based on CT films and subsequently the goals of treatment.  Not sure when to treat CVA or head injury related hypertension?  The guidelines in this application are the current treatment recommendations suggested by Covenant Medical Center's neurosurgical division.  This application is relatively small and offered complimentary of The ResQ Shop.  The free download on the right is a full version.  Please let us know your thoughts if you see areas for improvement.
