26-Revelation-15:
The song of the redeemed is the new song of 'victory' over the beast...over his image, his mark, and his number. It is a combination of the song of Moses and the song of the Lamb. It is pure praise to God (Rev. 5...14...15)(Exodus 15). No one could learn what the song really contains (Rev. 14:3) and how to sing it properly unless they were part of that group known as the firstfruits (14:4). They are said to be firstfruits in the sense that they are the very best...a tithe of mankind unto God. Jesus, in a different sense, is known as the firstfruits (I Cor. 15) of them that slept...as first in order of time. Now, 'over his image' means not having desired the false hope and pleasure of the world; and 'over his mark' means not having partaken of the deeds of the flesh; and 'over his number' means not having submitted to the control and authority of the Devil. "And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death." (12:11) Will you be able to sing that song?
