43 ..... King James Bible

The King James Bible is outstanding in every way. It is not my purpose here to detail all of the ways...accurate...noble...time tested...etc. My links section will lead you to all of that type of information. The King James Bible is not perfect as the Word is perfect in God's eyes. But the King James Bible is outstanding, head and shoulders (like Saul) above all contenders. They will have to pry it out of my dead hands if I am not raptured first. Sure it is acceptable if you want to read from another version just to help explain the sense of a particular verse...but replace the KJV ...never! I started out with a Schofield and the notes had me very confused as to Israel and the church and the endtimes. Now I just have the KJV without the man-made notes. There is a beautiful symmetry ...a metered poetry ...within the Bible. "for by grace" "are ye saved". The KJV reflects this and makes the words come alive and register within your soul as music and poetry....the KJV is memorizable! You can not move these words around and give them new contexts and definitions without destroying the poetic beauty and force of the scriptures. This will remove the truth that is to be conveyed by that poetic beauty. Consider "but God" "who is rich in mercy" "for his great love" "wherewith he loved us" "even when ...we were dead in sins"...can you feel the poetic force of this passage? "God forbid"... does that stick in your mind and soul? Or would you prefer 'would to God that he should not allow it to occur'? "much more" ...beautiful simple poetic force. "let us"... "but now"... "So then.... it is not of him that willeth... nor of him that runneth... but of God ...that showeth mercy". "In the beginning ... was the Word ... and the Word was with God ... and the Word ... was God" Beautiful, beautiful poetic symmetry which rings like a bell in your soul! "And the Spirit and the bride say...Come...And let him that heareth say... Come... And let him that is athirst come". "I am the way ...the truth ... and the life". Let's see, how can we improve on that simple statement? How can we give it more force ... more beauty ...make it easier to memorize and hide in our souls? "It is only through me and my efficacious works that any man will be able to reach the Father. And furthermore, you should realize by now that I am the Father...I not only am made in his image and reveal him...but I am the Father...how can I make you understand this?" What do you think? Is that better? Praise God for the KJV!
