Beloved of God...called to be saints...not to become saints, but as the natural heirs of God, chosen as natural born sons in the super-natural spiritual realm, soon to undergo a metamorphis and fly away naturally and perform supernatural feats quite naturally...that is...according to law and order in the spiritual world...that is according to God's reign just as it is in all of creation. There is nothing un-natural about the supernatural. As a matter of fact...there is nothing that is unnatural because all rests in God. The word 'unnatural' is an oxymoron for nothing exists unnaturally even in a temporary sense. "In Him we live and move and have our being". The word 'natural' simply means 'of course', 'naturally', 'as it is-was-and shall be'. When we say that a queer (excuse me...was that politically incorrect?) is acting unnaturally we simply mean to say that he is not in accordance with God's natural and obvious plan for his life...we are not saying that he is acting outside of nature...doing something supernatural. Now the supernatural does not exist; just as the unnatural does not exist. Only the natural exists. Things may appear to us as supernatural or unnatural but everything is quite natural because all rests within God who does not change. So what is this talk about the physical and the spiritual? What about those things which seem to suspend the laws of nature? What is science but the study of God's nature? Are science and religion really so much apart? Is there a difference between law in the natural world and law in the spiritual world? Could it be that the same set of laws operate in  both realms revealing God's nature...His love for order and beauty and  justice...His oneness and timelessness...His unchangeableness...His power, authority, ubiquity, knowledge, and care for detail and perfection...His symmetry and beauty and awesome love? Yes, I believe this is just the case! Thus was an eclipse once thought to be supernatural...but science has discovered otherwise. Now we consider levitation to be supernatural...but we simply need more scientific enlightenment...for it is obvious that various laws exist and that they interplay with one-another to form a mosaic reality. Thus the law of gravity can be seemingly overcome by the law of aerodynamics. No law of God's nature ever overcomes  another law; but only balances with all other laws...indeed no law could exist apart from all of the other laws...indeed there is only one law with many facets which we describe as various laws of nature. This simplicity of reality should drive all scientists to their knees as they seek to discover their unification theory reality.

The boundary between the natural and the spiritual does not acually exist, but the boundary is only perceived as such due to the depravity of man. Man is said to have five senses...and we see with our eyes that which we call natural and physical, not comprehending the spiritual nature of things.

We smell with our noses...hear with our ears...touch with our skin...and taste with our taste buds. And all is well except we fail to sense the most important part of our environment for this is done by the spirit which must be revived in man at salvation. And this is god's working. Now the soul sees the natural and the spirit sees and senses what the natural man calls the supernatural, but it is only natural, when man is restored to his natural tri-part being of body, soul, and spirit wherein he is made in the image of the invisible God to see with his spirit just as he does with his eyes. So that faith is an actual seeing and not a blind believing....faith is not unnatural so that one must believe in spite of contrary evidence to the other senses...but faith rests upon logic and science and God's Word and sees where the other senses cannot but stand mute and dumfounded.

So then, let us not stand against reason and logic and science (see sec. 41)...standing on faith alone in God's Word as in the account of the six days of creation in Genesis...insisting that it was a literal 6 days etc. etc. This is not faith...it is ignorance in the face of modern science. So may we understand the flood not to have gone over the entire Earth, but only the then habitated portion of the Earth. You dare not separate religion from science any more than you should properly separate religion from politics or the world in general. Which brings us to oneness which is the bottom line.

Firstly, let us speak briefly of the natural laws which are the same as the spiritual laws...for example...gravity is the same as depravity. Now this is helpful not only in understanding salvation to be God's doing and not ours...but further in living the christian life where we find we yet possess the old depraved nature (wretched man that I am) we find the dual situation of old and new man which would otherwise cause us much confusion and loss of hope.

Now the bottom line is to see with the spirit which works with the other senses.....eyes to read God's Word and see the world...and other senses which perceive beauty and symmetry and oneness and timelessness.

Consider now it all fits together and all needs are continuously supplied by the various laws operating naturally. The flower atracts the bee who polinates the flower and makes the honey for man who cares for the flowers and the bees etc. etc. The wind and the rain and the turning of the Earth and the heat and light from the Sun all interact in a huge symphony and harmony of life conducted by nobody....excuse me...now see your place in all of this by your spirit. Are you a lone carbon-unit....an island...a self...a now or the highway unit with little or no patience...or are you one with all and do you feel for others as for yourself? Are you patient...for this alone will provide for all of your needs. Do you have all of the virtues which cannot be separated for there is only one righteousness and all of the virtues are merely facets of the same diamond which is Christ just as the natural laws cannot be separated from each other or do you specialize in let's say anger control or not smoking and drinking or maybe just not murdering? Are you a mere self-unit or are you a part of God? To the self-unit is death.

Individuals die but the bees and the flowers and man continue. Accept death to self and live unto God. Consider the natural disasters of man as warnings from your Creator...the Titanic....fires, storms, earthquakes, etc. etc. However, beloved, most of all be comforted in our oneness and timelessness with God through His Son Jesus Christ...it is a mere matter of faith...it is also logical...it is reasonable...it is justifiable...it is scientific...it is reality...and it is absolutely natural!
