The Donors formed in 1997 when Mike Mullen began screening the Atlanta music scene for likely candidates to create a new pop/rock band. His search led him to the fringes, but he returned with the eclectic blend of talent and personality that is The Donors.

His first series of tests returned a positive match - violinist and bass player Elana Nolte. At first she rejected becoming a Donor, but after Mike slipped some Poison into her CD changer, she decided it was time to rock.

Mike's next venture was to locate Glenn Neuwirth. He found the percussion guru beating in an alley behind a local synagogue and after months of persuasion convinced him that playing indoors had distinct advantages.

The Donors is a band for all reasons. Their versatility makes them the perfect choice for any situation that calls for live music. You can catch them around town doing all the classic and new top 40 songs that everyone knows. Or maybe you'll be a lucky party guest whose host settles for nothing but the best. Then again, perhaps you will see them doing a set of self penned songs at your favorite original music venue.
