Originally from New Jersey, Nikki Wright is a talented self-taught guitar player and a classically trained pianist. When she released her debut CD Still Crazy for You in the summer of 1996, she took the label by surprise. The album delivered an innovative blend of folk, alternative, and pop music that was familiar yet refreshingly new in folk rock circles. Album sales on the West Coast and Southwest regions of the United States coupled with successful radio airplay of strong singles Still Crazy for You and Once Upon a Time turned Nikki into a virtual overnight sensation among connoisseurs of insightful, introspective music.

Capitalizing on her new-found popularity, she aggressively marketed her music through several live performances in the Los Angeles area in venues such as the Coconut Teaszer, the Roxbury, Pettersons, the Darkwater Cafe', and McCabe's. With a dedicated and growing following, Nikki is promising to become one of the forerunners in the folk rock scene.
