Once you have recorded your master, you will likely want it produced as a professional-grade CD or cassette for retail and/or promotional purposes. TMPB Recordings contracts most CD and cassette manufacturing. Because we can offer volume business to many manufacturing companies, we often get discounts on their services, which are ultimately passed on to our artists. The extent of the discount depends on the particular vendor, the type of service required, and the volume of production. Vendors are chosen based on expertise, cost, availability, responsiveness, and past performance. In recent years, we have sent most manufacturing work to firms in Los Angeles and Canada. However, we have working relationships with several other companies as well. TMPB also provides FREE graphic design and manufacturing management services to artists who record at the TMPB studio. Under this service, TMPB will design an eye-catching graphic for your packaging, as well as coordinate all subcontracting activities and manage all phases of your project in terms of cost, schedule, and quality so that you do not need to become involved in such details. In the past, this service has led to TMPB personnel personally visiting manufacturing facilities to smooth out misunderstandings or to force the company to correct mistakes before final delivery. This service ensures a quality product will be delivered on time and at cost, or if deviations are completely unavoidable, this at least ensures there will be no last minute surprises. In the case of a low quantity order of cassettes (typically under 300) or CD one-offs, TMPB will manufacture your products in-house. This allows for immediate response so that orders can be filled quickly with little notice. Larger orders will be contracted out to a manufacturing facility, as it is more economical for us to take advantage of their high-volume resources.
