TMPB Recordings uses a variety of means to promote its records, including but not limited to Internet marketing and
FREE artist homepages, distributing demo cassettes, teaser postcards or CDs, as well as issuing press releases and print advertisements and arranging for TV and radio interviews, in-store performances, and radio airplay. TMPB will consider each artist's goals when establishing their promotional schedule and will cost it out accordingly.
Artists seeking TMPB's promotional services should be advised that promotional efforts entail a lot of work on behalf of TMPB and the artist. In short,
TMPB cannot promote an artist who is not willing to promote himself. Independent labels have been disappointed routinely by new artists who don't want to promote themselves correctly and end up breaking up the band once they find out that this is a really hard business and much more is expected of them than just playing music.
However, if artists are willing to do what it takes, we will work with them to get them noticed and fold our promotional efforts into an integrated plan along with our other services. When we combine our promotional work with our distribution work we tend to sell CDs, which is usually the end goal of many campaigns.
