Our Mission Statement:

The TorC/ Sierra County DWI Prevention Program is committed to reducing the incidents of DWI within Sierra County and throughout the state.  We strive to make Sierra County a safer community by providing activities and events that encourage positive growth.  We support our youth through various programs and school involvement and desire to enhance their education.  We encourage all ages to work together for a healthier, happier community.

Our Goals and Objectives: 

Provide funding for Law Enforcement for saturation patrols, and other designated activities.

Assist courts with DWI offender compliance through monitoring, Treatment and follow-up.

Prevent recidivism of high-risk youth offenders through the Teen Court process.

Provide and sponsor events and activities to all ages that offer healthy alternatives and choices.

Provide instruction on alcohol and drug issues to all ages through school involvement, publicity, events, and informational packets.

Our Priorities:

Grant writing, reporting and meeting grant requirements.

Reducing DWI’s throughout the county and state.

Prevention of factors that increase DWI’s throughout the county and state.

Marketing and promotion of the DWI Prevention message that encourages community support and involvement.

Collaborate with other agencies in a combined effort to build a healthier community.
