AMENDING SECTION 1-7-1 OF THE CAPITAN
MUNICIPAL CODE
REGARDING GROUP HEALTH AND LIFE INSURANCE BENEFITS
WHEREAS, the Village of Capitan participates in a group health and life
insurance plan for its employees and their dependents; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Capitan Board of Trustees has determined that
payment of 100% of its employees' health and life insurance premium
contribution and payment of 60% of its employee 's dependents' health
and life insurance premium is a reasonable benefit of employment, and
WHEREAS, in order to effect this change in benefits, it is necessary
for the Village to amend Section 1-7-1 of the Village of Capitan
Municipal Code (2002).
NOW THEREFORE be it ordained that Section 1-7-1 of the Village of
Capitan Municipal Code is hereby amended and shall be as follows:
1-7-1 9.27: GROUP HEALTH INSURANCE; LIFE INSURANCE:
A. Participation: The Village of Capitan participates
in a group health and life insurance plan in which the village
contributes one hundred percent (100%) fo the employee and sixty
percent (60%) of the cost for the employee's dependents under the plan
of employee plus one dependent or the family plan. It is recommended
that the employee participate in this benefit, but is not mandatory.
Only regular and probationary employees who have completed thirty (30)
days service with the village are eligible for this benefit.
