VILLAGE OF CAPITAN
ORDINANCE 2008-____
AN ORDINANCE REVISING ADMINISTRATION-VILLAGE OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES
WHEREAS, The Village of Capitan is a New Mexico municipality; and
WHEREAS, The Governing Body of the Village of Capitan is charged with
making laws to insure the efficient operation of the Village; and
WHEREAS, The Governing Body of the Village of Capitan acted in regular
session on October 7, 2008 to approve the revision of Title 1, Chapter
6, Section 1-6-2(A) and the addition of B(1) to Section 1-6-3 with the
following:
Section 1-6-2 Appointment of Village
Officials
A. Officers Listed: The officers of the
Village of Capitan, other than those elected, shall consist of a clerk,
treasurer or finance officer, manager, attorney, chief of police,
police officers, and others as may be deemed necessary for the welfare
of the Village.
Section 1-6-3 Duties of Appointive Officers:
B(1).Finance Officer: A finance officer may be appointed instead
of a treasurer.
The finance officer
shall perform those duties as prescribed in the laws
and
statues of the state
of NM (Section 3-37-3).
NOW THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Governing Body of the Village of
Capitan to replace the existing Title 1, Chapter 6, Section 1-6-2 and
1-6-3 with the above revisions of the Municipal Code with the Village
Officers and Employees.
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED THIS 7TH DAY OF OCTOBER, 2008.
