AN ORDINANCE CONSENTING TO LANDOWNER’S PETITION FOR ANNEXATION INTO THE VILLAGE OF CAPITAN, NEW MEXICO, CERTAIN CONTIGUOUS LANDS AS SHOWN BY MAP THEREOF, ATTACHED TO THIS ORDINANCE AND REFERRED TO AS EXHIBIT “A”, SAID PROPERTY BEING ANNEXED HEREINAFTER MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED.

WHEREAS, on the 13th day of November, 2007, a petition was presented to the Village of Capitan, New Mexico by the following owner:

    1. Joe and Glenneth Shafer, Mt. Vue Subdivision, Block 3, Lot 11, Lincoln County, New Mexico. for annexation of said property into the Village limits of the Village of Capitan; and WHEREAS, it appearing that said tract is contiguous to the present Village limits; and WHEREAS, said Petition appears regular in every respect, and said annexation appearing to be in the best interests of the Village of Capitan, New Mexico,

BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the Village of Capitan, New Mexico that said Governing Body consents to said annexation.

APPROVED AND PASSED this 13th day of November 2007.
