RESOLUTION 2004-17
BUDGET INCREASE
WHEREAS, the Governing Body of the Village of Capitan, meeting in
regular session on September 14, 2004, proposed to make a budget
increase in the amount of $ 12,200.00; and
WHEREAS, the budget increase is for the purpose of meeting expenses for
post-closure monitoring at the closed Capitan Landfill to meet the New
Mexico Environmental Deartment requirements for the closure of the
LCSWA/Capitan Landfill asset forth in that certain Agreement entered
into between Capitan and LCSWA for post-closure monitoring expenses; and
WHEREAS, the General Fund Reserve will be used for the budget increase
which is expected to be a non-recurring expense; and
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Governing Body of the Village of
Capitan, Lincoln County, New Mexico, that the Village budget for the
General Fund be amended to reflect an increase in expenses for
$12,200.00 for post-closure monitoring expenses at the closed Capitan
Landfill, subject to approval of the Local Government Division of the
Department of Finance and Administration.
DONE, PASSED AND APPROVED by the Governing Body of the Village of
Capitan, Lincoln County, New Mexico on this 14th day of
September, 2004.
