RESOLUTION 2005-06
IN SUPPORT OF INCREASE IN
MOTOR VEHICLE ADMINISTRATION FEES
WHEREAS, the Governing Body in and for the Village of Capitan, State of
New Mexico, meeting in a regular session on the 8 th day of February
2005, is in full support of proposed House Bill 39 to increase the
Motor Vehicle Administration fees and,
WHEREAS, Bill 39 proposes an increase in administrative service fees
from $.50 to $1.00 for each item, transaction or service performed;
raises the amount distributed to each municipality, county or fee agent
operating a motor vehicle field office from six dollars ($6.00) to
eight dollars ($8.00) for driver's license and increases the fee from
three dollars ($3.00) to five dollars ($5.00) for each identification
card, motor vehicle, motorboat registration or title transaction
performed and,
WHEREAS, the increase will allow the Village of Capitan to continue to
provide a service to local residents who would otherwise have to go
elsewhere and,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE VILLAGE OF
CAPITAN, adopted Resolution 2005-06 in support of House Bill 39 to the
increase the Motor Vehicle Administration Fees at the regular meeting
this 8th day of February, 2005.
DONE, PASSED AND APPROVED by the Governing Body of the Village of
Capitan, Lincoln County, New Mexico on this 8 th day of February, 2005.
