RESOLUTION 2005-10
BUDGET INCREASE
LODGER'S TAX
WHEREAS, Mary Brothers, President of the Capitan Chamber of Commerce
has come before the Governing Body of the Village of Capitan to request
funds from the Village Lodger's Tax to pay advertising costs associated
with Smokey Bear Days and the promotion of the Annual Smokey Bear
Stampede and Fourth of July Parade, and
WHEREAS, the Governing Body in and for the Village of Capitan, State of
New Mexico, meeting in a regular session on the 8th day of March 2005
is in support of approving and appropriating $ 1000 for Smokey Bear
Days and $ 1000 for the Fourth of July Parade, and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE VILLAGE OF
CAPITAN, requests authorization and approval from the DFA to increase
their 2004-2005 budget in the amount of $2000, with the funds coming
from the Lodger's Tax fund. The balance in Lodger's Tax at the time of
this resolution is $5,039, and is included in Fund #101 General Fund.
There are no expenditures budgeted to Lodger's Tax at the time of this
resolution,
DONE, PASSED AND APPROVED by the Governing Body of the Village of
Capitan, Lincoln County, New Mexico on this 8"' day of March 2005.
