RESOLUTION 2005-15
BUDGET INCREASE
CORRECTIONAL FUND
WHEREAS, the Village of Capitan discovered an accounting error of
approximately $19,000.00 in the Correctional, Judicial & Court
Account, and
WHEREAS, the balance in this account was $33,757.40 on September 30,
2004 and $14,491.00 were actual Correctional Funds, and
WHEREAS, the Village staff did obtain approval to correct the error
from Sarah Roybal and the judicial Education Board, as shown in the
minutes of November 9, 2004, a new Correctional Account was opened, and
a deposit of $14,491.00 was made on November 23, 2004. In addition,
$19,000.00 was transferred to the General Fund on November 23, 2004, and
WHEREAS, the $19,000.00 transfer was reported incorrectly as an
increase to the General Fund Income, line item 4051, Court Fines in the
amount of $15,100.00 on Clean Up Resolution 2004-20, dated the 2 1 st
day of December, 2004, and
WHEREAS the Village staff does wish to correct the error and inform the
Department of Finance of the $19,000.00 transfer to the General Account
from the Correctional, Judicial and Court Account and of the new
Correctional Account, and
WHEREAS the Governing Body in and for the Village of Capitan, State of
New Mexico, meeting in a regular session on the 10th day of May 2005
does approve this correction, and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE VILLAGE OF
CAPITAN, requests that the DFA amend Resolution 2004-20, approve the
$19,000.00 transfer and approve the new Correctional Account, with a
balance of $18,296.68 as of March 31, 2005.
DONE, PASSED AND APPROVED by the Governing Body of the Village of
Capitan, Lincoln County, New Mexico on this 10th day of May 2005.
