RESOLUTION 2005 -16
CREATION OF LODGERS' TAX ACCOUNT
WHEREAS, the Village of Capitan staff has discovered that Lodgers' Tax
should be in a Special Revenue Fund; and
WHEREAS, the amount to be deposited to open such a Fund is $6,154.95,
which is currently located in the General Fund; and
WHEREAS, the Governing Body in and for the Municipality of Capitan,
State of New Mexico, meeting in a regular session on the 10th day of
May 2005 does support the creation of a separate Special Revenue Fund
to account for the proceeds and restricted expenditures of the Lodgers'
tax; and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Governing Body of the Village of
Capitan, respectfully requests approval from the DFA to transfer
$6,154.95 from the General Fund to a Special Revenue Fund to be used
solely for Lodgers' tax.
DONE, PASSED, AND APPROVED by the Governing Body of the Village of
Capitan, Lincoln County, New Mexico on this 10th day of May 2005.
