WHEREAS, the New Mexico Department of Transportation has awarded funds in the amount of $89,320.61. For the purpose of Blading, Shaping, Drainage Improvements and Roadway Stabilization on approximately 1.4 miles of Village Street. The following roads described below:

Skyview Rd    0.4 miles
East Grandview    1.0 miles

WHEREAS, the Village of Capitan agrees to participate in the cost of the project and has committed $22,330.15 as local 25% match in-kind funds, and the New Mexico Department of Transportation has committed $66,990.46 as their 75% share, and;

WHEREAS, NMDOT requires the Village of Capitan to accept Cooperative Agreement Project No. SP-2-06(910), Control No. 87106 and Vendor No. 5206335 by resolution and certify it’s commitment.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE GOVERNING BODY that the aforementioned is hereby approved and is made a part of this resolution and that the Village certifies its commitment to undertake the improvements and complete them in a satisfactory manner.
