WHEREAS, the Village of Capitan has been informed by their accountant that the Village’s state unemployment rate has increased from .3% to 1.2% due to an unemployment claim; and
WHEREAS, the increase was not included in funds transferred to the payroll account in the first quarter of the year; and
WhEREAS, the Village staff must correct this error to maintain an adequate balance in the payroll account to prevent insufficient checks; and
WHEREAS, the Governing Body in and for the Village of Capitan, State of New Mexico, meeting in a special session on the 19 day of December, 2005 is in support of correcting this error; and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Governing Body of the Village of Capitan, meeting in special session on the 19 day of December, 2005 does respectfully requests approval from the DFA to adjust the 2005 —2006 budget by allowing a transfer of $885.96 to the Payroll Fund. Funds in the amount of $253.13 will be transferred from the General Fund line item 6012 Employee Benefits Admin /Financial. Funds in the amount of $253.13 will be transferred from the General Fund line item 6022 Employee Benefits Public Safety. Funds in the amount of $253.13 will be transferred from the Water Fund line item 6010 Employee Benefits. Funds in the amount of$l26.57 will be transferred from the Smokey Bear Enterprise Fund line item 6005 Employee Benefits. These transfers will not require an increase in budgeted expenditures in the respective funds.
DONE, PASSED AND APPROVED by the Governing Body of the Village of Capitan, Lincoln County, New Mexico on this l9 day of December 2005.
