RESOLUTION 2006-17
BUDGET INCREASE
LODGER’S TAX
WHEREAS, several organizations came before the Governing Body of the
Village of Capitan to request funds from the Village Lodger’s Tax to
pay advertising and sanitation costs associated with Smokey Bear
Days, Smokey Bear Stampede and Parade, and a Farmer’s Market; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Capitan is in support of these events; and
WHEREAS, the Governing Body in and for the Village of Capitan, State of
New Mexico, meeting in a regular session on the 11th day of April 2006
did approve of appropriating $1000 for each of these events; and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE VILLAGE OF
CAPITAN, requests authorization and approval from the DFA to increase
their 2005-2006 budgeted expenditures in the amount of $1000, with the
funds coming from the Lodger’s Tax fund. The balance in Lodger’s
Tax at the time of this resolution is $7,462. There are
expenditures of $4,500 budgeted to Lodger’s Tax at the time of this
resolution;
DONE, PASSED AND APPROVED by the Governing Body of the Village of
Capitan, Lincoln County, New Mexico on this 9th day of May, 2006.
