WHEREAS, the Governing Body for the Village of Capitan, State of New Mexico, meeting in regular session on the 5th day of December 2005 did approve and adopt the Official Holiday Calendar for the Village of Capitan, and

WHEREAS, when the calendar was approved, the Village Hall was closed on Fridays.  Veteran’s Day was approved to be closed on Thursday the 9th of November.  The Friday after Thanksgiving, November 24th, was not on the Holiday Calendar so that day was not approved to be closed, and

WHEREAS, the Village Hall is open on Fridays, the Holiday Calendar needs to be changed for these two holidays.

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Village of Capitan Board of Trustees hereby adopts the following corrections to the Official Holiday Calendar for Veteran’s Day and Thanksgiving Day.

Veteran’s Day                will be observed on Friday, November 10, 2006

Thanksgiving Day            will be observed on Thursday, November 23, 2006
                                       and Friday, November 24, 2006


DONE, PASSED, AND APPROVED this 10th day of October, 2006 in regular session by the Governing Body of the Village of Capitan.
