WHEREAS, the Governing Body for the Village of Capitan, State of New Mexico, meeting in a regular session on the 11th day of December 2007, has approved and adopted the Official Holiday Calendar for the Village of Capitan.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Village of Capitan Board of Trustees hereby adopts the following as the Official Holiday Calendar for the Village of Capitan.

One Floating Holiday for each full time employee upon approval by Mayor or Village Clerk within the 2008 calendar year.

Martin Luther King, Jr. Birthday    will be observed on Monday, January 21, 2008
   
Presidents’ Day            will be observed on Monday, February 18, 2008

Memorial Day                will be observed on Monday, May 26, 2008

Independence Day             will be observed on Friday, July 4, 2008

Labor Day                will be observed on Monday, September 1, 2008

Columbus Day            will be observed on Monday, October 13, 2008

Veteran’s Day                will be observed on Tuesday, November 11, 2008

Thanksgiving Day            will be observed on Thursday, November 27 and Friday, November 28, 2008

Christmas Day                will be observed on Thursday, December 25, 2008 and Friday, December 26, 2008

New Year’s Day            will be observed on Thursday, January 1, 2009
