MINUTES
SPECIAL MEETING
DECEMBER 12, 2003 7:00 PM
VILLAGE HALL
The Village of Capitan Board of Trustee held a special meeting on
December 12, 2003 at the Village Hall Building. Mayor Pro Tem Leroy
Montes called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm. Trustees present were
George Tippin, Bobbi Shearer and Leroy Montes, and Mayor Steve
Sederwall and Trustee John Whitaker absentee.
APPROVAL OF AGENDA: Motion by Trustee Shearer seconded by Trustee
Tippin to delete item #4 and accept the rest of the agenda. All in
favor, motion carried.
RESOLUTION 2003-30 CDBG: Motion by Trustee Shearer seconded by Trustee
Tippin to change date from December 19 to December 12 and will approve.
Roll Call: Trustee Whitaker yes, Trustee Tippin yes and Trustee Montes
yes.
FOLLOW ME WOBBLY: There were three bids presented and Mayor Sederwall
visited with James Regan and he would take $8,000 for the wobbly.
Motion was made by Trustee Shearer seconded by Trustee Tippin to accept
the offer from James Regan for $8,000. Roll Call: Trustee Shearer yes,
Trustee Tippin yes and Trustee Montes yes.
CAPITAL OUTLAY REQUEST: The Legislature will be in Carrizozo on
December 30, 2003 at 10:00 am. Discussion was made what we wanted to
request for the Capital Outlay. 1. Wetland on the CDBG
2. Water line on the road before the MAP project is started
3. Drainage in the subdivision Motion made by Trustee Tippin seconded
by Trustee Shearer to present the above wish list to the Legislatures.
All in favor, -motion carried.
ADJOURNMENT: Motion by Trustee Shearer seconded by Trustee Tippin to
adjourn at 7: 10 pm. All in favor, motion carried.
