KOKOPELI . . HOMEPAGE

Koko-Peli was a legendary figure (circa AD 1000) found in
anasazi rock art of the American southwest. He was an
itinerant musician and, from some anatomically correct
depictions, assumed to be a fertility god as well.

I personally believe he actually existed. I base this on the fact
he is depicted in the rock art of Indian tribes in northern Mexico,
Arizona, New Mexico, Utah and Colorado. And, while there are
some variations in his appearance in general they are the same.

This was my first handle on the internet. I was registering for
a chatroom and I tried every variation I could think of using my
own name, but it was rejected each time as already taken. So,
in desperation I chose the least likely name I could think of and
for some time, I was Koko-peli.

The primary purpose of this site is to provide helpful hints
for surfing the net, some grapics for use in chatrooms and
to satisfy an ego. (Honesty is ALWAYS the best policy.)

You're welcome to use any of these but be advised they may be
changed without warning at any time. Click on any links to see the
choices. (And you may click on any grapic to download it also.)

If you have a graphic or text you would like to have a link to send
it to me in email. I would prefer it be less than 500kb and I'll not
post anything that is objectionable to me. Would appreciate flowers,
cute little figures and that sort of thing.

CROSSING THE BAR
(Alfred Lord Tennyson)

Sunset and evening star,
And one clear call for me!
And may there be no moaning of the bar,
When I put out to sea,

But such a tide as moving seems asleep,
Too full for sound and foam,
When that which drew from out the boundless deep
Turns again home.

Twilight and evening bell,
And after that the dark!
And may there be no sadness of farewell,
When I embark;

For tho' from out our bourne of Time and Place
The flood may bear me far,
I hope to see my Pilot face to face
When I have crost the bar.
