At this animal park the young guide hopped over the wall to pick up a discarded coke cup. This Devil came out of that hollow log with no warning sounds or threatening signs and went straight to the attack. The young man was aware this would happen and as soon as he retrieved the cup he immediately leaped to safety back over the wall.

Note my Singapore tee shirt. It indicates all the things forbidden there. But it is a very clean and lovely place ... if you obey the local customs.

This group was in an animal park. Their habitat (unlike most others we were in) was lighted
just well enough for pictures [using 400 film]. Note the size
of the eggs these little guys lay. Ouch.

By Emu:
rustling as the gentle breeze tickles at their bellies...
oh how they wish to escape....
but mother nature has another plan for them...
to be tied to a limb til such time
as she wishes for them to fall
and blanket her from the cold.....
so for now young leaf....
learn to laugh at it...
learn to laugh at the tease of the breeze.........
MAY EVERYONE HAVE A BEAUTIFUL AND LOVING DAY...

The sun beaming down from the sky so blue,
Eyes that shine like diamonds,
sparkling,
Sending out rays of light,
through prisms of color.
Arms ,
strong enough to hold the very essence of another human.
The total being of someone so strong,
yet so fragile.
A mind as sharp as the pointof a needle,
brilliance emitting through words of wonder.
The personality endurith by friends,
as,
Special,
Trusting,
and,
Truthful
This being.....'A Friend"

We are in Tasmania now and the pictures above & below are of a TASMANIAN DEVIL. They're still found in the wild & remote areas of Tasmania but I wouldn't want to meet one. They don't look imposing but they have very rotten personality.

Another snap at the Great Barrier Reef. Behind me you can see some of
the colors of the housand mile long reef. We regretted not bringing our bathing suits so we could
have done some snorkling there. Those that did reported the colors
below the water were fantastic. (too soon old, too late smart sigh)

These are the famous kiwis of New Zealand. They are flightless
birds with hairlike feathers about the size of chickens. They
are nocturnal and rarely seen in the wild.
