Jackye Meinecke has always been a strong supporter of WESST Corp and women in general.
When she needed help with an SBA loan to open a garden center, she came to WESST Corp as a client.
As is true with many startup businesses, (especially seasonal), the first year was a struggle, but Jackye was not discouraged.
She restructured and relocated Enchanged Gardens to the historical district in Las Cruces where she has successfully built her business to a profitable hub of the community.
Typically, the center specializes in native plants or those proven to adapt well to our climate,
but her storefront is an eclectic mix of kitchen, collectables, and rare finds for the Las Cruces shoppers -
everything from a unique line of garden tools and accessories to gift items like imported jams,
botanical bath salts, sculptures, wind chimes, stepping stones, or stained glass panels.
Visiting her center is like taking a walk through an exclusive catalog without the high prices.
Her radio program and newspaper column, where she offers gardening advice to those in need, has been a huge draw to the business.
