It's been a while so I'll present my Delaware Wheeler information again. Green Berry Wheeler b. May 29 1825 Kent Co., Delaware m. Elizabeth C. Cole Mar 28 1852 Bureau Co. Illinois. Other Kent Co. Delaware Wheelers that may be related: Mary Wheeler married Daniel McNatt Dec 4 1839 Kent Co. Delaware; William Wheeler married Maryann (Mariam) Harwood Dec 15 1846 or Nov 28 1843 Delaware; Elizabeth Wheeler married John Wesley Lane Sep 7 1847 Kent Co. Delaware; Sarah Wheeler married Thomas Cavender 1783 or (1792 - Bond) from Probate record of William Wheelor. A Greenberry Wheeler is listed in the 1810 Kent Co. Delaware census, and the 1830 Kent Co. census lists a Gramberry Wheeler (probably mispelling Greenberry). Children in 1830 were 1 male and one female under 5; 2 males 5-10; 1 male and 1 female 10-15; 1 male 10-60 and 1 female 30-40. So far, I have nothing concrete to tie these Wheelers to the same family.
Barbara Hakim, another Wheeler researcher, tells me that her "Family history" says ....Elizabeth Wheeler married John Wesley Lane. It goes on to say that she had two brothers, John and Berry, and a half sister (no name) who is believed to have married a McNatt." Barbara went on to say she had documented the marriage of Elizabeth Wheeler to John Wesley Lane (Sept 7, 1847, Kent Co., Delaware) and that Elizabeth's death certificate said she was born Feb 19, 1826 in Canterbury, Delaware and died 9 Feb, 1907, buried in Ceder Grove Farm, Queenstown, Queen Ann Co., Maryland.

Looking for the parents and siblings of Greenberry WHEELER b. 1825 in Kent Co. Delaware. I believe his father may also have been named Greenberry as I found a Greenberry Wheeler listed in the 1820 Kent County census.
I also found another Greenberry WHEELER in the 1840 Belmont Co. Ohio census. I am certain this is not my Greenberry as he already has a family and my Greenberry didn't marry until 1852. It may be possible that he is a cousin or uncle. Can anyone help me with Delaware Wheelers? Paul GRISHAM San Antonio, Tx

I'm trying to develop information on my 2nd great grandfather, Greenberry WHEELER and his family. Greenberry was born on 29 May 1825 in Kent County, Delaware and married Elizabeth C. COLE on 22 Mar 1852 in Bureau County, Illinois. He probably had at least 2 sisters, one name Elizabeth and one named Mary--Mary may have been a half sister. He may also have had a brother named John. His father may have also been named Greenberry as a Greenberry Wheeler is listed in the 1820 Kent County census. According to Greenberry's wife Elizabeth, his brother went to Kentucky. I am trying to find the parents of "Elizabeth WHEELER"
I have been able to make a documented connection from present day back to "Elizabeth" and then I'm stuck. Here is all I have to work with so far:
Elizabeth WHEELER was born Feb 19, 1826 in Delaware. Family history notes brothers "Berry" and "John" and a half sister...name unknown but "she is believed to have married a Mc Natt". She married John Lane Sept 7, 1847, Kent Co, Delaware (this is the line I have information on). She died near Queenstown, Queen Anne Co, Maryland on Feb 9, 1907, and on her death certificate her father and mother are listed as "names unknown" but both have their birthplace listed as Delaware.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Comments: Have detailed history of WHEELER that came to Delaware in 1638. His name was Johann WWILER, changed to John WHEELER. He also lived in Maryland and Pennsylvania. Wife unknown. Son: Anders, later Andrew. Andrew married twice, to Catherine and Anna Maria. I need to search our tree to see if there are any fits with yours. If you see a connection let me know. Thanks, Don
