Please help me find the only missing peice in my Wheeler puzzle! Does anyone know the maiden name of Sarah, wife of Jonathan WHEELER, married sometime before 1718 probably in Concord, MA? Jonathan was born in Concord, MA on April 19, 1696, the son of John WHEELER and Sarah STEARNS. Sarah seems to be the mystery woman in my family tree, as I have never found a maiden name, date of her marriage to Jonathan or record of her death. If you know anything about this woman please send mail to amyelizabeth4@juno.com Thanks!

Thomas Reed Sr. with his wife Anne HALSEY and their children came to America
in 1638 settling in Concord, MA. Some sources say they came in October 1635
with the Rev. John Jones Company on the ship Defiance. During 1638-39 about
100 Wheelers came to America from Cranfield, Bedfordshire. Thomas Sr. and a
number of other Wheelers moved to Fairfield, CT about 1644 Because of the
early date and the number of family members coming to America some sources
say this could be the largest family group in America. Many of the Wheeler
family became prominent members in New England owning sizable amounts of
land and being in leadership positions.
I am confidant in the accuracy of my information for the first five
generations and the last three generations. A large amount of information
has been written about the family, Raymond David WHEELER and M. WHEELER
MOLYNEAUX being the sources I am most confident in. To date I have had an
opportunity to see only a small portion of these works.
I have been fortunate to exchanged Wheeler family history with a number of
people researching this family. I would appreciate any additional
information on the family with particular interest in:
· Information dating before Henry WHEELER born about 1503
· Information tracing the family from Connecticut to New York.
· Any corrections or additions that can be made to my information.
· Correspond with other people doing Wheeler research with emphasis on my
family line..
This has been a rather long submission. I hope you have found it of
interest and we would have something to share.
