I am looking for the parents of Edward WHEELER of Red Hook, Amenia, NY who married Elizabeth WHEELER on Jan. 3, 1774.
Their children were:
John WHEELER, baptized Dec. 25, 1777
Edward WHEELER, born Nov. 23, 1778
Enos WHEELER, born July 16, 1780.
I have found some information that might point to Edward's father being Nathaniel WHEELER of Suffolk Co, MA. He shows up in the 1790 census in the town of Boston.
I've been watching the info on a VALENTINE and Ephraim WHEELER and Catherine DUTCHER with interest. Seems I might be missing a link to them. Any information is appreciated. This search has been very exciting so far. -- Debbie mack@eznet.net

ADDRESSED TO: Chantel, [See CT16] There are two Edward WHEELER lines...One is the NY Wheeler's who married into the GARDER and DUTCHER families (mine) and the WHEELER family of Ct. The WHEELER family of Ct. is well documented in a book by Richard WHEELER.
Could you share with the list a brief sysnopsis of your line and the surnames affiliated with your family?
I have found that in my line, the families have stayed close together and throughout the years have intermarried. There were many factors why but that isn't important right now.
My surnames include: WHEELER, HAKES, MAIN, GARDNER, DUTCHER, WHITBECK, DAILEY, CHASE and MONTGOMERY. Sincerely, Esther

This is Frances BARROW in Mt. Carroll, IL. Do you know anything about Mark D. WHEELER who lived in Boise, ID after 1866? He was married to Jennie HOUSE in Eyota, Minnesota on Nov. 20, 1866. He may have had a daughter named Carrie. He was a veteran of the Civil War - 12/15/63 to 4/4/66 2nd Regiment of Cavalry, Company L. My great grandmother, Emma Ann, was his sister. I would like to know about their parents, who emigrated from New York to Minnesota between 1860 and 1863, when his father Joseph Lacey WHEELER died. Emma gave her birthplace as Monroe County, Union, NY.
Thank you, Fran Barrow

Have got back to Michael WHEELER married to Prudence FANGORDEN (no dates), who came from New York. He was a basketmaker; and migrated to the Michigan/Indiana area. Their children were George A., Reuben, Peter, James E., John.
Any and all help is appreciated. Thank You, Mary Lou

Glenn [see XXXV & XXXI below] and everyone on the Wheeler list. I saw your posting in reference to Edward/Evert WHEELER of Columbia Co. NY. From the research that I have been doing, it looks like I may be related to this line.
My direct ancestor is John B WHEELER born 19 May 1765 (this was in the IGI) in Kinderhook, Columbia Co. NY. According to the IGI, he was the son of Valentine Ephraim WHEELER and his wife Catherine Helena DUTCHER. JOHN'S middle name could have been BOGARDUS, another family name that married into my WHEELER Line. John died in Broome Co. NY before 1865.
John and his wife Serviah (maiden name unknown) had several children; amongst them Valentine Ephraim (FELT.E or FELTY), born 14 Jan 1790 , possibly Columbia Co. NY. (My G/G Grandfather). Others were:
Edmund born 1790 (Twin to my Felty?)
Lewis born 26 April 1792 and died 24 Nov. 1880 in Manilus, Onadago Co. NY.
Levi William born 1 May 1796 died 6 Feb 1875 in Delton; Sauk Co. Wi.
Lyman born 23 May 1798 died 6 Nov 1849 in Morrow Co. Oh.
The first Valentine Ephraim WHEELER was supposedly descended from Edward and his wife Josina GARDNER [see XXXV below]. In Morrow Co. Oh. , there were several families of GARDNERS, who were closely related to my G/G Grandfather's family.
I have also learned that my Wheeler's were Loyalist during the Revolutionary War. I would like to know more about this family and hope you will share with the list of what you may have found or learned. Thanks, Esther

I jotted your name down while on the Internet recently and didn't remind myself why, but I am to assume it is in regard to Genealogy and family history. If I am wrong, please correct me.
My ggrandmother was Huldah WHEELER whom died in Macoupin CO IL. Her father John WHEELER migrated to Macoupin from Mason CO KY via Clermont CO OH, Rush CO IN and Greene CO IL. John's father Benjamin WHEELER came to IL also and died in Pike CO IL 1840's. Benjamin was the s/o John WHEELER who was born in PA and died in Mason CO KY in 1823. John's father Joseph WHEELER died in Northumberland CO PA Nov 1790. His father was also JOSEPH WHEELER. Joseph (died 1790) was in Ulster CO (Minisink area) NY before PA.
Does any of this sound like your families? Would be anxious to hear if they were! I know Wheeler is a fairly common name, but its worth a try.
I will look forward to hearing from you! :-) Mary Ann Stewart Kaylor
