The family line poem along with the following family line ditty have driven my mother and now me, along with my sister and her daughter, to try and prove their accuracy. I understand James Stonewall learned this ditty from his Grandmother Sarah:

*George JACKSON was the great-granduncle of Stonewall JACKSON. Stonewall JACKSON's grandfather was Edward, who's brother was George. Stonewall JACKSON's father was Johnathan JACKSON.
**Nancy Richardson ADAMS' first husband, Richard ADAMS, (Sarah's father) was killed by attacking Indians when Nancy ran from their burning cabin with Sarah in her arms. Nancy returned to Virginia with Sarah. Nancy later married George JACKSON and moved to Zanesville, Ohio.
